Kailasa Entertainment Private Limited (KEPL) formed on 13th December, 2005.
The Kailasa Band released their first album eponymously titled “Kailasa” in 2006. The album goes on to become an immediate smash hit.
Second album “Jhoomo Re” releases in 2007. Album goes on to become an instant hit, with songs like “Agad Bamm” and “Saiyaan” becoming instant classics.
Third album releases “Chaandan Mein”, another smash hit in 2009. Kailasa’s first international performance as well in the UK.
Fourth album was released titled “Rangeele” in 2012. Kailasa also announces its first world tour in association with Saregama Events.
KEPL and Kailash Kher create the Clean India Mission Theme Song “Swacch Bharat Ka Irada Liya Hai Humne” in 2014, an effort which receives praise from Hon. PM Narendra Modi. Kailash Kher is named as one of the Prime Minister's Navaratnas for the Swacch Bharat Campaign and is nominated as a Swacch Bharat Ambassador.
KEPL organizes the first ever edition of “Nayii Udaan” in 2017, an annual event that provides a platform to budding musicians and singers to spread their wings and kickstart their careers. Kailash Kher also received the Padma Shri award.
KEPL organizes the first ever edition of “Mehar Rangat” in 2019, a platform created for reviving the dying artform of folk music, where new-age folk musicians and those of yesteryears can perform their art in front of a large audience.
Kailash Kher Foundation is formed in 2019 and carries out pathbreaking work during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing essential medical supplies, groceries and rations, oxygen concentrators and other utilities to thousands of families across India and multiple marginalized and destitute communities.
KEPL curates India’s first-ever spiritual narrative music reality show “Swarna Swar Bharat” on the Zee Network, telecasted in over 173 countries to an audience of over 3 Billion. The effort is recognised and appreciated by the hon. PMO in a personalized letter sent to Padma Shri Kailash Kher congratulating him and the team for the concept.
KEPL created "Bharat Ka Amrit Kalash," India's largest folk music reality show on the Doordarshan Network, which revitalized traditional folk music by featuring 400+ re-imagined folk songs. The show gained nationwide acclaim, setting a new standard for cultural preservation on television, with the show and contestants going viral across social media multiple times during its telecast.
